My Spiritual Journey
My spiritual journey began in my mid-20s in California, during a quiet afternoon at a park with my niece. A free-spirited, hippie-looking woman approached me and struck up a conversation about spirituality and Buddhism, leaving me with a small booklet that I took home out of curiosity. That simple moment opened a door. Soon I found myself picking up alternative magazines outside local shops, exploring co-op markets, and eventually visiting a psychic institute where I experienced student readings and even past-life sessions. I still wish I had those recordings today.
Life moved forward—marriage, children, routines—and for a time, spirituality felt like something that belonged to “other people.” But in the mid-2000s I experienced a quiet reawakening. I felt strongly guided to shift my family toward organic foods and natural products, a change that seemed to thin the veil and reveal just how many illusions we move through daily. As my children grew and I found myself with more time, I began a meditation practice and once again began to allow myself to pursue the spiritual and metaphysical topics that interested me.
Everything transformed again in 2019 with the sudden passing of my daughter from an asthma attack. That tragedy reshaped our family and, eventually, my life. After choosing divorce and beginning again on my own for the first time in three decades, I stepped fully into deeper spiritual exploration—rediscovering my practices, expanding my awareness, and embracing the many paths that call to my soul.
What you’ll find here are the topics, tools, and experiences that have shaped me most. May they spark inspiration, healing, and a deeper remembering along your own soul journey.
